Generator Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Generator Service Manager to oversee our generator service department, technicians, scheduling, customer service, and daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and dispatch generator service technicians.

• Schedule maintenance, repairs, and emergency service calls.

• Oversee troubleshooting and repairs of standby generators and transfer switches.

• Assist technicians with difficult technical issues.

• Communicate with customers and provide repair recommendations and estimates.

• Manage parts, inventory, service vehicles, and equipment.

• Monitor job progress, service quality, and technician performance.

• Ensure all work is completed safely and according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.

• Coordinate with installation, sales, and office staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with standby generators.

• Service management or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and transfer switches.

• Experience with Generac, Kohler, Cummins, or similar generators preferred.

• Knowledge of propane and natural gas systems.

• Excellent communication, organization, and customer-service skills.

• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to work occasional after-hours or emergency calls.
