Construction Senior Manager

As a Construction Senior Manager, you'll lead a team responsible for bringing Best Buy's retail and non-retail spaces to life. You'll oversee complex projects ranging from store remodels and relocations to distribution centers, specialty facilities, and large-scale transformation programs. In this role, you'll coach and develop a high-performing team, manage significant capital investments, and partner across the business to deliver projects safely, on time, on budget, and with a great experience for customers and employees.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do

Lead and develop a team of Construction Project Managers and Coordinators. Oversee multiple construction projects from planning through completion. Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and financial performance. Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects. Drive accountability with contractors, vendors, and third-party project partners.

Identify risks, solve complex challenges, and continuously improve project execution.

Basic qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience. 7+ years of leadership experience in construction, architecture, or engineering. 7+ years managing construction projects, contractors, and vendor relationships. 7+ years working in a retail environment and partnering across multiple business functions.

Proven experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams Preferred qualifications Experience managing large capital budgets and construction portfolios. Knowledge of commercial building development and construction codes. Experience with remodels, expansions, relocations, and new-build projects. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, CAD, or similar construction tools.
