School Maintenance Worker

The Pompton Lakes School District is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our maintenance team.

Responsibilities

Performing general building maintenance and repairs. Assisting with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other maintenance tasks as qualified. Conducting routine inspections and addressing maintenance needs. Maintaining school buildings, equipment, and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Setting up and moving furniture and equipment as needed.

Responding to maintenance requests and assisting with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous maintenance or related experience preferred. Knowledge of general building maintenance, tools, and equipment. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials, as required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow safety procedures and district policies. Required criminal history background clearance and other applicable employment requirements.
