Responsibilities

Requires training in the operation of paint and blasting processes and the mixing of various paints & provides paint back up when needed. Reads job information and locates correct tools and materials. Moves parts into the proper location to prepare the parts for paint. Cleans parts with wire brush & solvent. Applies masking tape & rubber plugs to the areas that are not to be painted.

Helps the painter using hooks, eyebolts & the crane to move the parts into &out of the paint booth. Inspects the parts to ensure they meet our quality specifications. Places parts on a rack or skid to dry &moved to the next operation. Handles physical disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with company policies Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions Troubleshoot problems and report issues Must work well in team environment Physical Requirements: Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift Use of hands and fingers to perform job function Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb Ability to lift up to 50lbs
