We are currently recruiting for the position of Utility Associate for our Hanover Township location. THE ROLE The Utility Associate is responsible for being fully trained in all warehouse positions, assist any team that needs an additional support and may lead teams as needed. This role will consist of the following: picking, packing, shipping, receiving, material handling, returns, VAS (kitting), quality control, and inventory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Picking/Packing:

  • Fulfill orders using a RF scanner and voice picking headset to pick correct items and place them in correct box
  • Use a computer, scanner, and printer equipped with pack out software to pack order in appropriate packaging
  • Confirm accuracy of orders by scanning items before packaging Shipping/Sorter:
  • Ship all packages that need to be shipped manually
  • Address shipping issues if packages fail automated shipping process
  • Use shipping software requiring commercial invoices to be filled out and enter correct weight and dimensions for packages
  • Ensure accuracy with label print quality
  • Sort packages by carrier and load trucks Receiving:
  • Perform and manage inbound/outbound shipments
  • Check for correct labels, case count, pallet count. weights, and locations of delivery.
  • Verify all incoming freight
  • Report any discrepancies with various departments regarding product condition, packing slips, and receiver reports VAS:
  • Kitting, Assembly, Refurbishment, Retail Preparation, Repackaging, Labeling, Ticketing and other similar tasks for shipping Inventory:
  • Support the operation by overseeing daily cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Communicate discrepancies found to management
  • Provide solutions and support for solving discrepancies
  • Continually meet assigned cycle count standards
  • Maintain a quality of work that limits miscounts
  • Execute and document inspections per SOP Material Handling:
  • Retrieve and transport product to assigned slots in pallet racking
  • Identify product to be selected, sorted and placed
  • Follow aisle specifications for product sorting and placement
  • Properly enter assigned product for each shift into the system
  • Maintain a quality of work that limits mis-picks, shorts and damages
  • Other duties as assigned Position requires standing/walking, pushing/pulling, bending/squatting/kneeling, reaching overhead, repetitive motion, and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Warehouse experience (Preferred 2 years)
  • Forklift Operator: 1 year (Required)
  • Receiving and/or inventory experience (Preferred)
  • Leadership experience (Required)
  • Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
  • Comply effectively with company work and safety rules.
  • Continually meet assigned production standards.
  • Trained and certified to operate any required equipment.
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Able to stand, sit, kneel, bend for extended amount of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have ability to lift or move at least 45lbs
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team
  • Self-directed and self-motivated
  • Comply with company attendance policies
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Be at least 18 years old JOB TYPE
  • Full-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly EDUCATION
  • High school or equivalent (Required) WORK AUTHORIZATION
