Job Description IT Systems Analyst II Last Updated on February 3, 2022 Job Type: Full-time, Hourly Purpose: Cahaba Medical Care is seeking a skilled System Analyst II to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing our healthcare information systems to ensure they meet the needs of our clinicians and staff.

Your work will contribute to the efficient delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our community. The System Analyst II will collaborate closely with stakeholders, participate in system implementations, and assist in system troubleshooting and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to gather and document system requirements. Assist in the analysis and assessment of existing healthcare information systems for efficiency, usability, and compliance. Participate in designing and developing system solutions, including workflow optimizations and data integrations.

Contribute to the creation of detailed system specifications, including diagrams, flowcharts, and technical documentation. Lead system implementation projects within their designated areas, working with senior analysts, IT teams, and external vendors as needed. Participate in system testing and quality assurance efforts to ensure systems meet functional and performance requirements.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users. Serve as the lead for specific project areas and clinics, overseeing system-related activities and ensuring smooth operations. Act as the escalation point for tickets that Systems Analysts are unable to resolve, providing advanced technical expertise and guidance.

Stay updated with healthcare technology trends, industry best practices, and regulatory changes. Collaborate with senior analysts and IT leadership in project coordination and management.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a Systems Analyst, preferably in a healthcare environment. Familiarity with healthcare information systems, including EHRs and practice management systems is advantageous. Knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, NIST) is beneficial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a healthcare team setting. Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies and systems.
