As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of Respiratory Therapists and support staff as assigned. A key focus of this role involves the coordination and organization of assigned human, financial and material resources to ensure effective program delivery, and the identification and resolution of issues that impact service to the site which may include managing employee performance and attendance matters.

You will also ensure that adequate staff are scheduled and available on a 24-hour basis. 5 years current relevant experience required within an acute care setting Previous supervisory experience preferred Demonstrated leadership in Respiratory Therapy. Excellent and current knowledge in all clinical aspects of service delivery within Respiratory Therapy. Must be able to integrate and apply clinical excellence in the day to day operations.

Computer skills essential. Familiarity with applicable legislation and professional Standards of Practice. Demonstrated optimism and enthusiasm about the Respiratory Therapy Department with commitment to continuous quality improvement. Demonstrated managerial competencies that include excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, problem solving, conflict resolution, analytical thinking, interpersonal and group management skills, change management, organization and project management skills.

Must be able to maintain privacy, dignity, and confidentiality. Must be able to operate effectively under conditions of extreme stress. Additional Required Qualifications: Computer skills essential.
