Senior Node.js Engineer

At the core of the role We are looking for a Senior Node.

js Engineer to join an international team working on a long-term project in the banking domain. You will develop and maintain business-critical Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) APIs and event-driven systems using AWS serverless technologies, contributing to architectural decisions, system reliability, and continuous technical improvements.

Core skills you’ll bring 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2 years with Node.js and TypeScript. Solid experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3). Strong understanding of design patterns and software architecture. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform and CDK).

Experience with TypeScript testing (unit, integration, system). Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka). Familiarity with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI specifications. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. English — Upper-Intermediate or higher. Nice-to-have Experience with monorepo setups (pnpm workspaces or similar).

Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) and ORMs (Prisma). Experience with NoSQL databases. German language skills. The impact you'll create Develop and maintain scalable BaaS APIs and event-driven backend services. Contribute to architecture, technical design, and secure, reliable solutions. Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment processes.

Ensure production reliability through on-call support, incident investigation, and issue resolution. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on system integrations.
