Metal Accountant

The role: As a Metal Accountant, you will help drive our goals by: Prepare and maintain accurate precious metal accounting records, including monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and Metal Trial Balance reporting. Monitor and reconcile metal inventories, hedging activities, customer metal balances, and coverage processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Collaborate with Commercial, Supply Chain, and global business teams to identify metal requirements, manage metal borrowing/hedging activities, and support intercompany transactions. Manage precious metal working capital and inventory processes, including stock takes, forecasting inputs, and analysis of metal variances.

Support audit and compliance activities by ensuring timely resolution of metal-related findings, accurate process order closures, and adherence to internal controls. Key skills that will help you succeed in this role : University degree qualification Accounting Standards Ability to apply knowledge of applicable Accounting Standards and Cost Microsoft Office and knowledge of SAP Strong analytical and communication skills Significant experience embedding compliance to accounting policies and controls in a global organization Ability to work collaboratively and provide appropriate challenge and insight, often under time pressure Even if you only match some of the skills, we’d love to hear from you to discuss further!
