Golf Pro Shop Attendant - PT

POSITION SUMMARY

The following job description details the scope responsibility and specific areas of responsibility regarding the Golf Shop Attendant. The Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals have the authority to add to, take from or otherwise change the scope of responsibilities, as he/she feels necessary to properly manage the day-to-day operation of the Big Canoe Property Owners Association (POA).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greet all Property Owners, Members, and Guests at all times and provide outstanding customer service. Accommodate Property Owners, Members, and Guests and communicate all requests or complaints to Golf Professionals in a timely manner. Responsible for making tee times, collecting all appropriate fees, checking golfers in, and selling merchandise in an ethical and professional manner.

Assist the professional staff in keeping golf shop merchandise levels consistent with demand. Be knowledgeable of all golf shop merchandise and assist customers with any inquiries. Maintain the tee sheet and create turn times as needed. Communicate all information to Marshal staff to assist with pace of play and customer requests.

Manage the rental clubs for customer usage. Fill out rental forms. Count clubs and check for missing/damaged clubs upon return. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all golf shop merchandise in accordance with the professionals’ display, including; Shirts folded neatly Displays dusted and organized Assist members in posting scores to the handicap system.

Be knowledgeable in policies and enforce in absence of Golf Professional Staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

AND SKILLS Must have High School Education, or equivalent work related experience Must display strong communication skills, a high level of professionalism and be detail oriented. Must be willing to work seasonal hours. Microsoft Office and general computer skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT Must be capable of lifting boxes with weights up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays Requires standing for up to 8 hours. Must be at least 19 years old. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
