Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Northern New Jersey

Cordial Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience to provide on-site behavioral health care throughout Northern New Jersey. This part-time position offers a consistent three-day-per-week schedule, meaningful patient relationships and the independence to practice with extensive clinical and operational support.

Responsibilities include

Conduct psychiatric evaluations, consultations and follow-up visits Diagnose and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Prescribe, monitor and adjust psychotropic medications Evaluate treatment response, medication effectiveness and side effects Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers and families Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning Educate residents, caregivers and staff regarding psychiatric care Provide compassionate, trauma-informed and resident-centered treatment Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation Requirements Board-certified PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant with significant psychiatric experience Active and unrestricted New Jersey professional license Active DEA registration required Strong psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and psychopharmacology skills Ability to manage a psychiatric caseload independently Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Geriatric, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care or post-acute experience preferred Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred Benefits Competitive compensation with growth potential Flexible three-day weekday schedule No weekend work Predictable daytime hours Paid orientation and structured training Malpractice insurance coverage Additional benefits available based on eligibility Weekly live continuing medical education Paid access to Up.
