Job description

Description The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic growth opportunities across the Tiger Family of Brands. This executive-level leader works closely with senior leadership to expand market presence, develop strategic partnerships, pursue new lines of business, increase commercial revenue, and strengthen Tiger's position throughout the communities we serve.

This role is highly collaborative, requiring a balance of strategic thinking, relationship building, financial analysis, negotiation, and execution. The Director serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while creating sustainable growth opportunities that align with Tiger's mission, values, and long-term strategic plan.

Success in this role requires exceptional business acumen, entrepreneurial thinking, executive presence, and the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders. Essential Responsibilities Strategic Growth Develop and execute enterprise-wide business development strategies. Identify emerging markets, industry trends, and new revenue opportunities.

Recommend strategic initiatives that support long-term growth. Evaluate expansion opportunities, partnerships, and new service offerings. Develop annual and multi-year growth plans. Champion and drive implementation of Hubspot CRM across all brands Business Development Identify, pursue, and secure strategic partnerships.

Develop relationships with municipalities, commercial organizations, developers, contractors, community leaders, and key stakeholders. Represent Tiger in high-level business meetings and networking opportunities. Negotiate strategic agreements and partnership opportunities. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of business opportunities.

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth Collaborate with division leadership to identify commercial sales opportunities. Develop enterprise-wide sales strategies. Support major contract negotiations. Assist with pricing strategy and competitive positioning. Monitor market share and competitive landscape. Market Intelligence Analyze industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive activity.

Conduct market research to identify future opportunities. Provide executive leadership with actionable recommendations. Evaluate risks and return on investment for proposed initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR, and division leadership. Help launch new services and business initiatives.

Coordinate cross-brand growth efforts. Promote collaboration across all Tiger companies. Financial Performance Develop business cases and financial models for growth initiatives. Prepare ROI analyses. Monitor revenue performance against projections. Recommend adjustments based on market conditions. Leadership Serve as a strategic member of Tiger's leadership team.

Mentor business development professionals as the department grows. Foster a culture of innovation and accountability. Promote Tiger's values throughout all business relationships. Community & Brand Representation Represent Tiger at industry conferences, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and community events. Build relationships that strengthen Tiger's reputation.

Serve as an ambassador for the Tiger Family of Brands.

Requirements

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, economics or related field preferred. 10+ years of progressive business development, strategic sales, or executive leadership experience. Experience leading enterprise growth initiatives. Proven history of generating significant revenue growth.

Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements. Multi-business or multi-brand experience preferred. Experience in fuel, retail, construction, or related industries is preferred. Physical Requirements Works in-person in our Charlottesville, Virginia offices. Ability to travel frequently throughout Tiger's service areas.

Occasional overnight travel. Ability to attend networking events, meetings, and conferences. Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and using a computer.
