Physical Therapist

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USFull-timePosted Oct 10, 2026

Job description

Symbios Health, LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in providing exceptional, patient-centered care. At Symbios, we emphasize treating the whole person—not just the diagnosis—through personalized rehabilitation programs designed to restore function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.

The Physical Therapist will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to deliver hands-on, manual therapy and evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, evaluating medical history, physical limitations, and personal goals to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement targeted interventions, including manual therapy (e.g., joint mobilization, soft tissue massage), functional exercises, and advanced techniques such as blood flow restriction training or dry needling, to address conditions like chronic pain, post-operative recovery, sprains, and tendonitis.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other onsite providers to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care and rehabilitation. Educate patients and their families on exercises, self-care techniques, and strategies to prevent further injury or maintain mobility. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes and ensure faster recovery.

Utilize cutting-edge technology and equipment to enhance therapy sessions and improve patient results. Provide specialized care for a wide range of conditions, including post-surgical recovery (e.g., fractures, joint replacements), arthritis, muscle weakness, and sports-specific rehabilitation (e.g., golf and tennis assessments).

Maintain a patient-first focus, empowering individuals to return to activities they love, such as lifting grandchildren, playing sports, or enjoying an active lifestyle.

Qualifications

Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program. Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain licensure). Experience in manual therapy and personalized rehabilitation preferred. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology, and evidence-based physical therapy practices.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues. Proficiency with modern therapy tools and techniques (e.g., blood flow restriction training, dry needling) is a plus. Passion for helping patients achieve long-term health, mobility, and fitness goals.

Work Environment: Fast-paced, patient-focused medical practice with a collaborative culture. Access to onsite physicians and health providers for integrated care. Schedule: Monday–Thursday (8 AM–6 PM), Friday hours (8 AM–Noon). Why Join Symbios Health, LLC? At Symbios, we believe in a symbiotic approach to healthcare—working together to benefit both our patients and our team.

You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives while growing professionally in a supportive, innovative environment.
