ECMO Specialist

Hours of Work : 8a to 5 pm Days Of Week : 5 days Work Shift : Job Description : Job Purpose The ECMO specialist participates in the development of a treatment plan, involving assessment, planning, implementation, and education. Communicates with the ECMO physician and other members of the healthcare team to interpret, adjust and complete treatment specific to the ECMO patient care plan.

Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation. Licenses and/or Certifications: Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing Or RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care Or CCP – Certified Perfusion License And Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience Methodist Richardson Medical Center is a 443-bed, full-service, acute care hospital that serves Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties.
