Assistant Dean of Students

ASSISTANT DEAN OF STUDENTS AND CULTURE TEACHER ON SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT (TOSA): Overseen by the Principal, The Assistant to the Dean of Students and Culture at Pinnacles Prep works in close collaboration with the Deans and Principal to drive school culture forward aligned to Pinnacles Prep’s EPIC values. The Assistant Dean is responsible for implementing schoolwide systems related to fostering a supportive scholar culture and related record-keeping.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities SCHOOL CULTURE / Climate Support the following: School-wide incentive systems: Community Meetings, House Competition, Birthdays, Incentive field trips, JTerm Monthly culture calendar activities and parent community events: Spirit weeks, Cultural month activities, Spirit week, Dances, Prom, field days, etc.

Community Meetings with SAC Onboarding of students that start after start of school year Arrivals and departures Coordination of Scholar Advisory Council (SAC) overseeing budget and spending MTSS Team with other Dean, Principal and counselor CICO Coordinator Supported Schools Data manager Substitute teaching when necessary DISCIPLINE & COMPLIANCE Support in-the-moment teacher needs by providing classroom push-in support, taking over a class so that teacher can resolve conflicts Ensure prompt and correct submission of all reports related to behavior Triage and first responder to Supported Schools data system In-School Suspension & Lunch Detention facilitator PARENT & FAMILY COORDINATION Coordinate parent/family meetings in partnership with staff on a case-by-case basis Collaborate with Principal on regular parent communications from the school Co-plan and Co-Lead Community-wide events: Exhibition Nights, Conferences, Title I Night, Moving Up, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current WA State Teacher Certification At least 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience Excellent classroom management skills COMPENSATION The salary for this position depends on your years of teaching experience aligned with Pinnacles Prep Certificated Salary Schedule, which starts at $60,000. All employees receive a full benefits package, and enrollment into the WA SEBB program.
