Field Service Engineer

Summary Job Responsibilities Perform onsite inspection, installation and commissioning of equipment / machines, troubleshooting and customer training of Buhler products. Perform automation and/or electrical remote support when required by customer. Promote and support after sales activities with active spare parts and retrofit upgrade sales.

Support Sales team in term of technical, investigations and site visiting. Standby for requisitions from internal & external. Liaise with production sites and regional team for technical support and back up. Regular communication with customer representatives from technician to management level. Prepare written reports in full details of the service activities including pictures and explanation of the trouble process.

Service Report submission after job finish, should not more than a week to Supervisor and/or Team Leader to claim the travel expenses and the report will be submitted to Service Operations Manager for final approval.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in the process industry and automation & electrical engineering Technical knowledge to understand customer needs: Sufficient technical background (depends on market) to understand client processes, not only machines but overall transformation process and operations processes Knowledge of sales and service in process engineering operations to recommend customers in Buhler products
