Description Genesis Reference Laboratories: Medical Technologist – Molecular Reports to: Molecular Supervisor Classification: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Location: 6547 S Racine Cir, Suite 1100, Centennial, CO 80111 OVERNIGHT SHIFT Wednesday–Saturday | 10:00 PM–8:00 AM Four 10-hour overnight shifts Genesis Reference Laboratories is seeking a Medical Technologist – Molecular to join our Molecular Testing Department in Centennial, Colorado.

This position performs molecular diagnostic testing and related laboratory activities while supporting accurate, timely, and compliant patient testing.

Essential Duties

Perform specimen processing, molecular testing, quality control, and equipment maintenance. Review, analyze, and report test results accurately and promptly. Perform quality assurance and proficiency testing activities. Assist with assay validation, implementation, and troubleshooting. Maintain required laboratory records and documentation.

Follow applicable laboratory, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment. Perform other laboratory duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Chemistry, Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field. Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field may be considered based on qualifications and applicable laboratory requirements. 1–2 years of molecular testing or relevant laboratory experience.

Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work the posted Wednesday–Saturday, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM overnight schedule .

Preferred Qualifications

Molecular diagnostics and PCR experience. Assay validation or implementation experience. Clinical laboratory experience.
