Job Details: Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Summary: The Traffic Control Technician is responsible for safely setting up, maintaining, and removing lane closures and traffic control devices to protect workers and the traveling public. This position involves directing traffic through construction zones, transporting equipment, and ensuring work zones comply with all safety standards.

Technicians may work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, barricades, and arrow/message boards. Operate company vehicles, including trucks and MOT (Management of Traffic) vehicles, to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites. Ensure work zones remain safe and properly maintained throughout each shift.

Follow traffic control plans and contractor directions accurately. Perform basic maintenance and repairs on traffic control equipment and tools. Adhere to all company policies, safety rules, and DOT regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Safety & Compliance: Comply with all safety requirements both internally and externally (i.

e. wearing all required PPE when in the field). Physical Requirements: Ability to walk up to 1 mile. May be subjected to extreme weather conditions. Work Environment: 80% office environment. 20% in field.

Must pass background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening. Must meet all federal DOT requirements. Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. Ability to read and follow traffic control plans, signs, and safety documentation. Must wear required PPE (safety boots, hard hat, vest, safety glasses). Available for a rotating on-call schedule.

ATSSA TCT Intermediate Certification required (or ability to obtain). Mechanical or equipment maintenance experience preferred.
