Sr. IT Specialist

About The Role

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), a leading defense technology company, is seeking a Sr. IT Specialist to be part of our IT team and based out of our Arlington, VA location. The Sr. IT Specialist will administer and maintain Windows based end user computing systems intended to support corporate IT infrastructure and services in the cloud, on premises, and remote IDT offices across the United States.

Main responsibilities will focus on supporting the helpdesk, assisting other engineers in fine tuning the network, systems, and corporate applications and support end user issues. Clearance & Location Requirements: All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. This is an on-site position.

Requiring at least 3 days in office, based out of our Arlington, VA location.

What You Will Do

Day to day in-person and remote end user support and ensuring tickets are closed in a timely fashion Administer Microsoft 365 environment (email, compliance, SharePoint, etc.) Image, deploy, troubleshoot, maintain end user workstations Perform requirements analysis, translating business need into IT resource specifications Developing internal and external documentation Asset management and procurement Provision end user workstations per corporate and end user needs Patching and maintenance of end user workstations and corporate physical and virtual servers, storage, cloud instances, and infrastructure.

Contribute to improvement of administrative and operational processes Ensure that all systems are in compliance with industry standard IT security frameworks such as NIST Partner with the Helpdesk Team Lead on workload management and team coordination while developing leadership skills Who You Are (Required): Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant field of Engineering, or equivalent full-time professional experience.

5+ years of full-time professional experience in a relevant technology field Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, as needed Experience with imaging end user workstations Experience with enterprise domain/active directory environment Experience with ticketing systems Experience interfacing directly with end users and troubleshooting end user issues both in-person and remotely Extensive experience with Operating Systems (Mainly Windows and some Linux) configuration and administration Experience working within Microsoft 365 environments Basic network experience – understanding IP and subnetting Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in an agile work environment Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations Experience with cloud environments, such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure What Makes You Stand Out: Beyond.

Pay Range*: $74,000 - $116,000 This amount may not be reflective of actual compensation that may be earned as pay is dependent on a candidate’s experience, skills, and education. The posted range does not include bonuses, commissions, tips, or other benefits.

IDT is often looking to place multiple candidates at various levels. Therefore, more than one pay range has been included, commensurate with experience.
