SUMMARY In partnership with team members, and in accordance with standardized training schedules and in line with the overall strategic and project-based plans in the organization, the Technology Trainer is responsible to interact directly with the providers and support staff to design, configure, test, train, implement and support the use of clinical and operational technologies.

The Technology Trainer is responsible for assisting in the development of clinical and operational technologies training materials and related workflow and course documentation, development and implementation of related policies and procedures and continuance of ongoing structured training delivery such as on-boarding, upgrades, new technology and refresher courses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver clinical information system training for new hire onboarding, upgrades, and ongoing refreshers Develop and maintain role-specific workflow maps, training agendas, manuals, and an organization-wide resource site (documents, videos, job aids) Test and validate software upgrades with the technology team, update training materials, and communicate changes to staff before release Review clinical workflows, recommend improvements, and assist Medical Directors and clinical teams with workflow analysis and redesign Train and support staff on the patient portal and other clinical and operational technologies Support administrative and clinical teams in resolving system issues, escalating to Compliance, Helpdesk, or the CIO as needed and following up to resolution Serve as backup for daily monitoring of clinical systems, including interfaces (Mirth) and unmatched lab/radiology orders and HIE documents, escalating trends and issues to the technology team Communicate complex processes clearly to a wide range of users and participate in organizational committees as assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS Associate or Bachelor degree in related field required or relevant certifications in standard operational software (MS Office) and clinical information systems Minimum of 3-5 years EHR experience required Previous EHR/PM training experience required Proficiency using EHR/PM software systems required; super-user experience is strongly preferred Ability to effectively present information to groups and individuals through verbal and written formats required Working knowledge of workflows required Proficiency in medical terminology required Microsoft Office skills that include, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point required OTHER REQUIREMENTS Reliable transportation required Bilingual ability in English and Spanish, Portuguese or Creole speaking abilities preferred Cultural sensitivity necessary to work with a diverse patient and staff population required Ability to work independently and collaboratively required Knowledge of computers and electronic medical records required Strong communication skills, both verbal and written required Monday
