Junior Auditor

Our client, a well-established audit and assurance company based in Malta, is currently looking for a Junior Auditor to join their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist partners in delivering high-quality audits across a varied portfolio of clients, including international companies in financial services and other private enterprises.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €40K. Role & Responsibilities Support audit seniors and managers in delivering annual statutory external audits for a portfolio of clients Prepare audit files and carry out audit testing in line with International Standards on Auditing Contribute to analytical reviews and resolve technical accounting issues as they arise Organise and maintain audit documentation and working papers Assist in preparing financial statements under both GAPSME and IFRS Take on basic accounting and administrative tasks during quieter periods Document audit findings and summarise them clearly for senior team members to review Support the coordination of audit engagements to keep them on track for timely completion Work under supervision while developing skills to review and improve audit quality Build strong client relationships by providing responsive, reliable support under guidance Education, Skills & Experience Bachelor's in Accounting, and part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent) or currently progressing towards full qualification 1 or 2 years of client audit experience in Malta Excellent communication skills in Maltese and English, both written and spoken — non-negotiable Good knowledge of IFRS, GAPSME, and auditing standards Strong analytical skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to respect deadlines Strong teamwork abilities About the Role Salary of up to €40K, depending on experience Hybrid working with flexible hours Summer hours - during the summer months Fridays finish at 14:00 Health insurance Opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career Kindly apply with your detailed CV.
