In this role, you will help ensure safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy operations by leading daily workflows, supervising staff, and upholding regulatory standards. This position supports optimal patient care through collaborative leadership, formulary adherence, clinical intervention oversight, staff education, and continuous professional development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred Licensure/Certification : Texas Pharmacist License or eligibility for Texas licensure; must obtain within 90 days of employment Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross within 90 days of employment Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for inpatient positions prior to or within 6 months of employment; preferred for outpatient roles IV Sterile Certification required for all inpatient areas and Fondren Pharmacy Texas Pharmacist Preceptor Certification preferred Experience : Minimum of 2 years of progressive, relevant pharmacy experience Outpatient/Retail experience required for ACS positions Inpatient hospital experience required for IP positions Completion of a PGY1 ASHP-accredited residency highly preferred Communication Skills : Strong written communication for correspondence and reports Knowledge/Skills : Analytical abilities Design knowledge and skills Mathematics Medical terminology Research knowledge and abilities Statistical knowledge and abilities Work Schedule : Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime Join Harris Health and help lead pharmacy services that support safe, effective, and compassionate care across the Harris County community.
