Firelands Federal Credit Union is looking for an experienced, motivated Member Relationship Consultant who enjoys consumer lending, consultative sales, and making a meaningful difference for members.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll be more than someone who processes loan applications. You'll be a trusted resource, helping members discover financial solutions while actively growing lending relationships. Drive lending opportunities by identifying member needs, developing referrals, and building relationships within the communities we serve.

Connect members with solutions by recommending consumer loan products, structures, and additional financial products that fit their needs. Guide members through the lending process , from initial conversations and loan applications through underwriting decisions and next steps. Build lasting relationships through proactive outreach, consistent follow-up, and exceptional member experiences.

Take ownership of the details , ensuring loan applications and documentation are accurate, complete, and processed efficiently. Work toward individual and team goals while keeping the member's financial well-being at the center of every recommendation.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is confident, motivated, and enjoys turning conversations into opportunities. Lending experience: Previous consumer lending and/or loan application experience, preferably in banking, credit unions, or financial services. Sales and goal-oriented mindset: Experience identifying opportunities, recommending products, and working toward measurable goals.

Relationship builder: Strong communication skills with the ability to ask questions, uncover needs, and develop lasting relationships. Self-motivated and proactive: Someone who takes initiative, follows through, and enjoys creating opportunities to help members. Member-focused: A genuine interest in helping people make informed financial decisions and improve their financial well-being.
