Role Overview: This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including assessment, medication administration, monitoring, and coordination of individualized treatment plans.

The MS/Tele RN monitors cardiac rhythms and changes in patient condition, collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, and ensures safe, evidence-based care throughout the patient’s hospitalization.

Requirements

Required 1 year of experience. Required 1 year of Epic charting experience. Medication System: Omnicell. Flu Vaccine Required – No Exemptions. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TN active RN license. Must have at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience. First time travelers must have at least one year of experience.

Skills: Respiratory: Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks. Gastrointestinal Genitourinary/Renal Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Substance Withdrawal. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting and maintaining IVs Work settings: MS/Tele.

Medications: Heparin Protocol. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmia, Isolation Precautions/PPE Special Procedures Details: Post heart cath Bedside procedures- dialysis cath, thoracentesis, I&D Schedule: Shift hours: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Weekend Coverage: Every other but may change based on need.
