This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, learning new skills, and providing excellent service to residents. Working alongside experienced maintenance professionals, you will assist with apartment turns, preventative maintenance, service requests, grounds upkeep, and general property maintenance.

Whether you are beginning a career in multifamily maintenance or bringing experience from construction, facilities maintenance, hospitality, or a related trade, we provide opportunities to learn, grow, and advance within the property management industry. Candidates may have previous experience in roles such as: Maintenance Assistant Assistant Maintenance Technician Apartment Maintenance Assistant Make-Ready Technician Groundskeeper Facilities Assistant Building Maintenance Assistant Construction Laborer Property Maintenance Assistant General Maintenance Worker Candidates with experience in the following are encouraged to apply: Basic HVAC maintenance Basic plumbing repairs Basic electrical repairs Appliance installation and maintenance Diagnosing appliance & plumbing problems Pool Maintenance Sheetrock repair Grounds maintenance Work order completion Preventative maintenance Apartment turns and make-ready projects Property management or apartment community operations WHAT YOU’LL DO As an Assistant Maintenance Technician, you will: Assist with daily maintenance operations throughout the property Help complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner Support routine and preventative maintenance activities Assist with apartment turns and make-ready projects Perform painting, cleaning, drywall repair, and minor repairs as needed Ability to trouble shoot in all areas above Assist with maintaining common areas, amenities, and property grounds Help identify maintenance issues before they become larger repairs Follow safety policies and company procedures Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance documentation Support senior maintenance team members with larger projects and repairs Assist with inventory organization and maintenance supplies as needed WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Required High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation Valid driver's license Strong customer service and communication skills Preferred Previous experience in: Apartment maintenance Property maintenance Facilities maintenance Construction Landscaping Building maintenance Experience using maintenance management software Trade school or vocational training EPA Certification (not required) WORK HOURS & LOCATION REQUIREMENTS This position requires full-time, on-site presence at our Tyler, TX property.

The standard schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Some evening, weekend, and on-call work may be required Occasional travel to nearby properties, vendors, or supply locations as needed WORK AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.
