Machine Operators

Location: Apple Creek, OH Pay: $25–$35/hour, plus per diem and travel for qualified travelers Duration: 6 weeks Schedule: 40+ hours per week Job Type: Contract Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Machine Operators for a 6-week manufacturing project in Apple Creek, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manufacturing equipment, monitoring production processes, inspecting finished products, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Machine Operator Responsibilities Set up and operate manufacturing machinery and equipment according to production requirements and work instructions. Load and unload materials, position workpieces, and ensure proper machine operation. Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency and quality.

Inspect finished products to verify accuracy, dimensions, and compliance with quality standards. Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to check product specifications and identify defects. Identify machine malfunctions, production issues, and potential equipment problems. Perform routine machine checks and assist with basic troubleshooting and maintenance.

Follow production schedules and maintain accurate production records as required. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures. Machine Operator Qualifications Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, industrial, or machine shop environment. Ability to follow work instructions, production specifications, and quality control procedures.

Familiarity with measuring tools and inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality. Basic understanding of machine operation, equipment adjustments, and troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Available Shifts 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM Travel & Per Diem $179 per day in per diem ($1,247 per week), paid for all days while traveling. Travelers are compensated at their regular hourly rate for hours worked.

Personal vehicle travel reimbursed at $0.76 per mile. Airfare provided for air travelers, with rental car and fuel reimbursement.
