Job Description: Experienced Underground Miner / Laborer JENNMAR Services – West Elk Mine (WEM) Location: Somerset, Colorado Pay: $28.00–$38.00 per hour, DOE Job Summary JENNMAR Services is currently seeking experienced Underground Miner / Laborers to join our team at West Elk Mine in Somerset, Colorado. Qualified candidates must have previous underground mining experience and a strong understanding of underground mine safety and operations.

This position supports daily underground mining activities, assists mining crews, handles materials and equipment, and maintains a safe and productive work environment. We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious individuals who can work effectively as part of a team and contribute their underground mining experience to daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform general labor duties in an underground coal mine. Assist underground mining crews with daily operations and assigned tasks. Move materials, tools, and equipment as needed. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Follow all mine safety procedures, company policies, and MSHA regulations. Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and equipment concerns.

Assist with equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned. Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.

Qualifications

Previous underground mining experience required. Experience working in an underground coal mine preferred. Current MSHA training or the ability to complete required training. Strong knowledge of underground mine safety practices. Dependable, hardworking, and able to work well with a crew. Ability to perform physically demanding work in an underground mining environment.

Must meet all site access, pre-employment screening, and mine safety requirements. Work Schedule Full-time position. Schedule and shifts based on mine operational needs. Must be available to work overtime as needed.
