Plant & Machinery (Supervisor / Technician)

Department: Plant & Machinery Experience: 2–4 Years Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Industry: Construction / Infrastructure / Geotechnical Job Responsibilities Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of construction plant and machinery. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.

Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and coordinate repairs. Maintain equipment service records, breakdown reports, and maintenance logs. Monitor the condition and availability of machinery at project sites. Coordinate with site engineers, operators, and maintenance teams for equipment requirements. Ensure proper usage, safety, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and spare parts.

Assist in spare parts identification, inventory control, and procurement requirements. Monitor fuel consumption and machinery performance. Coordinate equipment mobilization, demobilization, and inter-site transfers.

Requirements

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification. 2–4 years of experience in plant and machinery maintenance, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects. Practical knowledge of construction equipment such as drilling rigs, compressors, grouting pumps, excavators, generators, and other site machinery.

Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Ability to identify faults, troubleshoot breakdowns, and carry out routine maintenance. Knowledge of preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts management. Willingness to travel to project sites and work in site conditions as required. Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of equipment safety procedures and maintenance documentation.
