Position Summary

As a Senior Relationship Banker in Sun Prairie, you’ll deliver high-level client service for complex deposit relationships while helping the location grow through strong retention, thoughtful outreach, and consistent follow-through. You’ll be a go-to resource for both clients and colleagues—bringing advanced product knowledge, steady judgment, and a clear focus on doing the right thing.

What you’ll do:

• Open, service, and maintain complex deposit relationships and related banking services for new and existing clients
• Lead advanced financial conversations to understand goals and recommend solutions aligned with client needs
• Strengthen relationships through proactive outbound activity, timely follow-up, and ongoing relationship management
• Identify referral opportunities and connect clients to additional bank resources when appropriate
• Support teammates by assisting with complex account openings, servicing requests, and sensitive client situations
• Serve as a trusted resource for retail banking products, services, systems, and procedures
• Maintain strong operational discipline, demonstrating compliance awareness, risk management, and risk-based decision making
• Contribute to colleague development through mentoring, guidance, and knowledge sharing
• Partner with leadership to support team execution and overall location success
• Represent One Community Bank through community involvement and local engagement

Required qualifications/skills:

• Two or more years of retail banking experience or equivalent demonstrated proficiency
• Advanced knowledge of retail banking products, services, systems, and procedures
• Strong relationship-management and client-service skills
• Ability to mentor, guide, and support colleague development
• Ability to analyze situations, exercise sound judgment, and solve complex problems
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and operational procedures

A Typical Day

Your day is built around client conversations—some scheduled, some walk-in—where you listen closely, clarify goals, and guide next steps with confidence. Between appointments, you’ll coordinate with teammates to keep client needs moving forward, step in to help untangle nuanced requests, and share practical tips that make the whole team stronger.

You’ll shift gears throughout the day: time at your desk reviewing details, time on the phone following up, and time connecting with community partners. You’ll also stay attentive to process and risk—double-checking documentation, keeping work organized, and making thoughtful decisions when something doesn’t look right. By close, you’ll have strengthened relationships, supported colleagues, and set up tomorrow’s priorities.
