HR Generalist

Description Key Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and extending offers. Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required training. Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Administer employee benefits, leave requests, and workers' compensation claims. Ensure compliance with labor laws, healthcare regulations, and company policies. Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns. Assist managers with employee performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and documentation.

Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts. Coordinate annual performance reviews and employee evaluations. Monitor and maintain required caregiver credentials, certifications, and background checks. Assist with payroll preparation by verifying employee information, timekeeping, and status changes.

Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials. Generate HR reports and maintain confidential employment data. Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience in home healthcare, healthcare, or senior care. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or comparable HR certification. Experience with caregiver recruitment and retention. Knowledge of payroll systems and timekeeping software.
