Plumbing Specialist

Position Title: Plumbing Specialist FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Facilities and Maintenance Reports to: Supervisor of General Works Location: District Wide Beginning Scale: Classified Pay Scale C Position Type: Full Time Beginning Salary: $22.34/hr-$30.11/hr Description of Position: The Plumbing Specialist installs, maintains, and repairs piping systems, plumbing fixtures, and water distribution systems throughout district buildings, ensuring safe and code-compliant operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plumbing Maintenance and Installation (65%) Repair leaks, unclog drains, and replace fixtures (toilets, sinks, water fountains) Install piping for water supply and drainage systems Maintain and repair irrigation and sprinkler systems Safety & Compliance(25%) Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulations Conduct routine inspections and water testing Other Responsibilities (5%) Support emergency repairs or after hours calls Other duties as assigned MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED Journeyman Plumber License (or equivalent) Minimum 3 years experience in plumbing systems repair and maintenance **All employees hired by the school district must pass a criminal background and child abuse registry check.
