JD of IT manager Job Title IT Manager / Head – Information Technology Department IT Department Location Bengaluru, Karnataka Reports To Managing Director Job Purpose Ensure smooth functioning, security, and modernization of company IT systems, while leading digital transformation through AI, automation, and business analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Category Details Infrastructure Management Manage servers, networks, CCTV, ERP, and hardware. Ensure data security, backup, and connectivity across all plants/offices. Software & Systems Oversee ERP and business software; coordinate with vendors for upgrades, maintenance, and integration with production and finance systems.

Automation & AI Initiatives Introduce AI tools for productivity, predictive maintenance, data forecasting, and workflow optimization across departments. Business Intelligence Develop and implement BI dashboards/reports using tools like Power BI or Zoho Analytics for management decision-making. Cybersecurity Implement robust cybersecurity policies, firewall protections, and user access controls to keep data and network safe.

Process Improvement Use technology to streamline operations, reduce manual work, and improve data visibility. IT Policy & Compliance Define IT usage policies, monitor licensing compliance, and ensure adherence to data protection laws. Team Leadership Lead and mentor IT staff; manage vendor relationships and service contracts efficiently.

Emerging Technology Integration Explore cloud solutions, IoT for manufacturing, and automation tools to support digital transformation. Support & Troubleshooting Provide ongoing technical support for users and departments to minimize downtime.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications Requirement Type Details Education Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). Experience 10 Plus years in IT management, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG industry. Technical Skills ERP systems, networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI tools, BI dashboards.
