Maintenance Technician III - Vactor Operator

The City of Roanoke is seeking a Vactor Operator in the Stormwater Division of Public Works. In this role, you'll perform skilled work operating heavy motorized equipment involved in stormwater maintenance. Your work may include repairs and renovations to the stormwater conveyance system, including pipes, manholes, and inlets.

You'll operate a combination sewer cleaner vehicle, dump truck, and other assigned equipment, along with the hand tools needed to get the job done. You may also assist with CCTV inspections and pipe repair operations along the way. Safety will always be part of the job — you'll follow all safety regulations related to your work area and equipment use.
