Job description
Responsibilities
- Map segments of frontier AI and adjacent technology supply chains. Areas of focus could include specific country ecosystems and/or actors across segments such as capital allocation, raw materials, mineral processing, chip design, fabrication, advanced packaging, datasets, datacenters, frontier labs, and more.
- Analyze how ownership stakes, trade relationships, and control are likely to evolve under different technological, commercial, and geopolitical scenarios.
- Develop strategic proposals for stakeholders across government and industry.
Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills, with familiarity in one or more relevant domains: semiconductors, compute infrastructure, capital markets, critical minerals, trade policy, or AI governance.
- Clear, concise writing for senior policymakers and/or business executive audiences, with sound strategic judgment and comfort working amid ambiguity and evolving scope.
- Adept at using AI models and tools as part of research process. Knows when to use them as a way to augment critical thinking and strategic taste, rather than as a replacement.
- Self-directed and reliable in a part-time, remote arrangement, with responsive communication and consistent delivery; experience in government, policy research, investment analysis, or supply chain intelligence is a plus.
Compensation
- $50/hour for 8–16 hours per week, with scope for expanded hours and responsibility for strong contributors.
