Receptionist / Office Assistant

Description About Us Temperature Specialists, Inc. is a small, family-run manufacturer of custom temperature sensors. We’re looking for a friendly, organized person to run our front desk and support our office. If you enjoy helping people, like keeping things accurate and in order, and want a steady weekday schedule, we’d love to hear from you.

No manufacturing experience needed; we’ll train you on our systems. Schedule and Pay Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience What You’ll Do Answer and route 10 to 30 phone calls a day, take messages, and greet visitors Answer customer questions about catalog items and orders (after training) Enter orders into our ERP system (M1) and SharePoint and print paperwork for production Print product labels Print, scan, and save invoices and payment receipts, and check that they match our records Scan, file, and organize paperwork and help with general office tasks What We Offer Health coverage through an ICHRA starting January 1, 2027 Dental and Colonial Life supplemental insurance Paid holidays Profit sharing Paid morning and afternoon breaks On-the-job training in a close-knit, family-run company Temperature Specialists, Inc.

Requirements

Required High school diploma or equivalent Professional, friendly phone manner and strong communication skills Accuracy and attention to detail with data entry and paperwork Good organizational and time management skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Comfortable learning new software Able to work independently and as part of a small team Able to walk between the office and production floor and lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Experience in an office, reception, or customer service role Experience with an ERP system (M1 a plus) or SharePoint Experience in a manufacturing environment
