The Castle Rock School District is seeking candidates for the position of HR Specialist -PrimaryHR/Backup Payroll.

Position summary

The HR Specialist supports the district's hiring and employment processes for certificated and classified staff. This position helps applicants, employees, and supervisors navigate recruitment, onboarding, personnel records, benefits, leave, and employment procedures. The specialist handles sensitive information with discretion and works closely with payroll and district administrators.

Position will remain OPEN UNTIL FILLED.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with college degree preference.
  • Successful experience in a public school/human resource setting using Skyward/RDS software; for a period of two years strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated high level of computer skills and 10-key proficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly detail-oriented.
  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with all district and state requirements and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters in an ethical manner.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and the public.
