SBA Loan Underwriter

The SBA Loan Underwriter is responsible for facilitating the accurate and timely analysis and underwriting of SBA 7(a) and 504 loan submissions to the point of bank credit decision. Responsible for evaluating loan submissions for completeness, analyzing and spreading borrower financials to determine cash flow, ratios, personal and business strengths, and identify issues for further investigation.

Interview and interact with the principal(s) as needed to answer questions and address concerns. Generate the narrative credit writeup for review of approval authorities, making changes as needed. Complete the commitment letter or declination letter and convey the decision to the Business Development Officer and/or borrower.
