• CHM120H5S Chemical Principles II ( Laboratory Demonstrator/Tutorial Leader) Position Type : Laboratory Demonstrator/Tutorial Leader Course Title : CHM120H5S Chemical Principles II Course Description : Building on the subject matter of CHM110H5, molecular events are studied at the microscopic level. Topics include atomic and molecular structure, intermolecular forces of attraction, reaction kinetics, and organic chemical reactions and mechanisms. Number of Positions (est) : 16 positions. * Positions are dependent on actual course enrolment, and are not guaranteed. Course Enrolment (est): 800 students Hours of work (est) : 67 hours Class schedule : In-person delivery https://ttb.utoronto.ca/ Sessional dates of appointment : January 2027 – April 2027 Salary : CUPE3902 Unit 3 Salaries . The rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Qualifications

B.Sc. in Chemistry. Sound knowledge in contents covered in the course required. Previous TA/SIA experience marking assignments, quizzes, tests and/or final exam and working with undergraduate students in Chemistry tutorial and lab setting an asset to be able to demonstrate and deliver course content consistently within the UofT's standards.

Good communication skills are required as well. Description of Duties : Duties will include laboratory demonstrations, leading tutorials, marking laboratory reports, and/or quizzes/assignments. May also include invigilation of term tests and/or final exam. Closing date: November 2, 2026, 11:59pm.
