This role works closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, branch leadership, and IT to standardize business processes, strengthen financial controls, and enable Business Central as the common finance foundation for GL detail, financial dimensions, entity consolidation, and intercompany across CBX businesses.

The ideal candidate brings a practical blend of business analysis, Microsoft ERP functional expertise, working accounting knowledge, and strong organizational skills. This individual will translate business needs into standard Business Central processes, leverage existing CBX process maps (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report), favor out-of-the-box capabilities over customization, safeguard data and financial accuracy through deployments, and help users adopt the platform with confidence.

Hands-on Business Central or Dynamics NAV experience is highly valued, particularly as part of a prior implementation or migration.

Responsibilities

Facilitate discovery workshops with business leaders, branch SMEs, and process owners, and translate needs into process maps, user stories, fit-gap findings, and acceptance criteria.

Promote standard, out-of-the-box Business Central processes across businesses and branches while documenting justified business variations and their dependencies. Identify manual workarounds, control gaps, and automation opportunities, and build reusable process templates, SOPs, and playbooks for future deployments. Maintain setup tables, posting groups, number series, approval workflows, user permission sets, and security groups in partnership with IT administrators. Evaluate requirements against standard Business Central capabilities and App. Source solutions before recommending extensions or custom (AL) development. Troubleshoot user and system issues, perform first-level root-cause analysis, and manage Microsoft partner and ISV support cases through resolution.

Microsoft Business Applications Ecosystem Support business processes that span Business Central, Dynamics 365 Sales/CRM, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dataverse, Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint. Identify and document requirements for Power Automate workflows, Power Apps, and Business Central approval and notification processes that reduce manual effort.

Partner with IT on environment management, sandbox and production environments, Microsoft release waves, update testing, and extension/app lifecycle. Evaluate opportunities to apply Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities within Business Central and Microsoft 365 to improve productivity and data quality. Financial & Accounting Process Support Partner with Finance and Accounting to align chart of accounts, legal entities, dimensions, tax, payment terms, and posting rules with corporate standards.

Support financial consolidation, intercompany transactions, period-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and management reporting in Business Central. Help ensure operational transactions from source ERPs (Comsense, Sedona, ContractERP, and others) map accurately into Business Central for consolidated financial reporting.

Apply a working understanding of inventory valuation, job costing, and subledger-to-general-ledger posting to identify and resolve accounting-related issues. Data Migration & Master Data Quality Coordinate extraction, cleansing, mapping, and loading of master and open-transaction data, including customers, vendors, items, chart of accounts, balances, open AR/AP, jobs, and fixed assets.

Use Business Central configuration packages, Rapid. Start, and Excel tools to support data conversion from legacy systems such as Navision, QuickBooks, and Great Plains. Validate converted data using record counts, balance comparisons, and sample reviews, and obtain sign-off from business and Finance data owners. Define and reinforce data standards, required fields, naming conventions, and duplicate prevention across Business Central, CRM, and reporting platforms.

Integration, Reporting & Controls Document functional integration requirements and data handoffs between Business Central and D365 CRM, operational ERPs, banking, payroll (Dayforce), and the enterprise data platform. Partner with integration teams on Business Central APIs, OData web services, Power Automate, and Azure services, including error handling, monitoring, and reconciliation.

Partner with Data & Analytics to deliver Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Business Central reporting, including financial statements, account schedules, and KPI definitions. Support user access reviews, segregation of duties, audit evidence, and exception reporting across critical financial, purchasing, and inventory processes.

Testing, Release & Cutover Management Plan and coordinate conversion validation, functional testing, system integration testing (SIT), regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Develop test scenarios that validate complete business processes, such as quote to cash, purchase to pay, inventory to financials, and intercompany to consolidation.

Validate Microsoft release-wave updates and extension changes, and log, prioritize, and track defects and open items through resolution. Training, Change Management & Continuous Improvement Create process documentation, job aids, and training materials for Business Central and related Microsoft workflows tailored to user roles.
