This varied role combines field-based inspections, technical assessment, legal compliance and stakeholder engagement. You will be required to make informed decisions, maintain accurate records and produce clear reports to support both insurance claims and highway maintenance activities. The position involves extensive travel throughout Swansea and a significant amount of walking and cycling on the highway network.

Salary: Grade 7, SCP 19-24, £33,119 - £36,581 per annum. Why Work with Us? A permanent contract offering 37 hours per week.
Opportunities to undertake accredited highway inspection training and professional development. Generous benefits package, including: Generous annual leave. Family-friendly policies. Local Government Pension Scheme. Access to staff discount schemes. Excellent career progression opportunities within Swansea Council. This is your opportunity to become part of a dynamic, supportive team and make a real impact on the efficiency and success of Swansea’s Highways and Transportation services.
