New York Metro Area | Remote Join a Cutting-Edge Technology Patent Practice An established intellectual property boutique is seeking an experienced Patent Agent with substantive patent preparation and prosecution experience involving quantum computing. The practice represents innovative technology companies developing next-generation products across quantum computing, cybersecurity, cryptography, semiconductors, software, AI, and other advanced technologies.
This position offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and sophisticated patent work. Role & Responsibilities Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications. Work directly with inventors and engineers to understand complex technologies and develop strong patent claims. Prepare Office Action responses and manage applications throughout prosecution.
Assist clients with patent strategy and portfolio development. Develop and expand client relationships. Technical Focus Actual quantum computing patent preparation and prosecution experience is a key requirement. Additional relevant technologies include: Cybersecurity & Information Security Cryptography / Cryptology Semiconductors & Chip Technologies Computer Architecture & Hardware AI & Machine Learning Software & Cloud Technologies Networking & Communications Why Consider This Opportunity Work on sophisticated quantum computing and emerging technology patents.

Requirements
3+ years of substantive patent preparation and prosecution experience. Demonstrated experience drafting and prosecuting quantum computing patent applications. Cybersecurity, cryptography, semiconductor, or sophisticated software patent experience strongly preferred. B.S. or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
USPTO registration required. JD Strong patent drafting, technical writing, and client communication skills. Some portable patent prosecution business preferred.
