Job description
We are looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will carry out a range of first and second fix carpentry works across construction projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The successful candidate will have excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties Carrying out first and second fix carpentry works. Installing doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves and ironmongery. Fitting kitchens, timber flooring and other internal fixtures where required. Measuring, cutting and assembling timber and other materials to specification. Reading and interpreting drawings and technical plans.
Repairing, maintaining and replacing timber structures and fittings as required. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within project timescales. Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment. Following all health and safety procedures and company policies. Reporting any defects or additional works required to the site management team.
Requirements
Valid CSCS Card. Right to work in the UK. Previous experience as a Carpenter. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (preferred). Good understanding of health and safety procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Excellent attention to detail and workmanship. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
