About The Role

The Trainee Accountant (Associate) in Corporate Finance will work closely with our experienced BVI and international teams to support the administration of formal cross-border insolvency appointments, restructuring engagements, board of director appointments, distressed asset sales, fraud and complex financial investigations, litigation support and other business advisory services.

As part of a small and growing practice in the BVI, the successful candidate will gain significant hands-on experience and contribute meaningfully to the delivery of engagements. What You Will Need

to Succeed In order to apply for this position, the successful candidate must satisfy the following requirements: Excellent academic results, either studying towards or having already completed an Associates or Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field. Relevant work experience, preferably within the financial services sector or within an accounting or legal services firm, would be preferred.

Effective communicator, with good listening skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner, both verbally and in writing. Close attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Motivated and ambitious, with the ability to take initiative and learn from previous experience.

Interest in pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA), with study support provided. Fully proficient using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Candidates with 3 years + relevant experience in insolvency and restructuring, preferably within a large international accounting firm will be considered as Senior Consultant.
