About Guardian Recovery – Montville Adolescent Center: We provide specialized mental health treatment and therapy for teens in Morris County, New Jersey, supporting adolescents and children under 18 who struggle with behavioral challenges, mental health disorders, and substance use disorders. Join Our Team We're expanding as an organization, and with this growth we're looking to augment our staff by bringing on a Group Facilitator to provide the best support possible to our clients seeking mental health services. Please note this is a 1099 Independent Contractor position without benefits or a set schedule. The ideal candidate for us would be someone who is available to pick up group facilitation sessions on a case-by-case basis. This is essentially a roster of professionals who can assist with call-outs, more groups due to increased census, and general augmenting of our staff. Position Schedule and Group Session Information: These group therapy sessions are 75 minutes to 90 minutes long, depending on topic and daily schedule. Said groups are conducted 11am to 3pm daily. There are also limited evening sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm to 8pm. Pay: This is a 1099 independent contractor role that is compensated per group facilitated (these are 75 minute to 90 minute sessions, plus time needed for documentation). This is a part-time position without benefits. Pay rate for those who are a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) licensure is $110 per group facilitated. Those who are fully licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and/or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) are paid $125 per group. Group Facilitator Responsibilities: Facilitate therapeutic groups for individuals undergoing outpatient and partial hospitalization mental health programs. Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages active participation and engagement. Develop and implement group activities and discussions aligned with treatment goals. Foster a sense of community and collaboration among group members. Monitor and address individual needs and challenges within the group setting. Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals during group sessions. Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure the integration of group therapy into individual treatment plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions and participant progress. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation standards.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: Clinical licensure required (see below). Masters level education in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field is required. Clinical experience working with adolescents is highly preferred, but not required. Prior experience in facilitating therapeutic groups is required.

Ability to create a safe and inclusive support group environment, including a strong interpersonal communication skillset. Commitment to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Additional training or certifications is preferred, but not required: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), etc.
