Kiddie Capers Childcare Uckfield , located in the heart of the town, offers a warm, nurturing environment with dedicated baby spaces and age‑appropriate rooms that support every stage of early development. With creative play areas, cosy reading corners, a spacious outdoor area, Forest School sessions and regular community outings, we believe learning extends beyond the classroom.

This is an open advert for any qualified childcare practitioners interested in joining our brand new nursery team in Uckfield. We are currently looking for Senior/Room Leaders and Qualified Nursery Practitioners.

Salary (based on 40 hours per week): Level 2 Qualified - £29,120 per annum Level 3 Qualified - £31,096 per annum Senior/Room Lead - £33,280 per annum Provide immediate care for every child and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities Act as a key person, monitoring and recording children’s progress Maintain up-to-date Learning Journeys and individual planning Support personal care, hygiene, and mealtimes Promote positive relationships with children, parents, and staff Follow safeguarding procedures and monitor child wellbeing Ensure the room is clean, safe, and well-resourced Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies Encourage free flow play to support independence and confidence Participate in training and ongoing professional development A minimum of level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent Experience of working in a childcare setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children 30 days holiday, including bank holidays plus increased holiday allowance with length of service A dedicated “Me Day” to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or simply to put yourself first Company Sick Pay Discounts across retail, leisure and utilities Termly Employee Appreciation Incentives Wellbeing support, including an Employee Assistance Programme Discounted childcare across all our sites Development opportunities in a rapidly growing company
