As a Project Engineer Intern, you'll work alongside experienced project managers and field teams, gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of construction projects. You'll apply what you've learned in the classroom while developing the technical and professional skills needed for a successful career in construction.
This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field who are eager to learn in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
As a Project Engineer Intern, you'll assist the project team with a variety of responsibilities, including: Assist with preparing and tracking project submittals and shop drawings. Help maintain Requests for Information (RFI) logs and support timely project communication. Assist with project schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
Support project documentation and closeout activities. Help prepare warranty and operations & maintenance (O&M) manuals. Assist with estimating and preconstruction activities as assigned. Attend project meetings and gain exposure to project planning and coordination. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Previous construction or engineering internship experience is helpful but not required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). What You'll Gain Hands-on experience supporting active construction projects. Exposure to project management, estimating, scheduling, and project documentation. Mentorship from experienced construction professionals.
Experience working with industry software and construction processes. Valuable professional experience to support your future career.
