About Cafe Kira Café KIRA is positioned as a more casual, everyday version of KIRA—combining elevated café dining, pastries, drinks and evening dining in a sophisticated Jumeirah neighborhood setting. Role Overview Café Kira is looking for a motivated and passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team for the opening of our new concept.

We are seeking a dedicated culinary professional with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while maintaining KIRA's culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Chef de Partie in managing daily operations of the assigned kitchen section. Ensure consistency in food preparation, quality, presentation, and portion control. Organize and execute daily mise en place, ensuring readiness for service. Follow standardized recipes, SOPs, and HACCP regulations. Assist in supervising and training Commis Chefs, maintaining teamwork and operational efficiency.

Monitor stock rotation, minimize food waste, and maintain proper kitchen organization. Support the senior culinary team during the pre-opening phase, including kitchen setup, recipe implementation, and training. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and effective communication across kitchen sections. Candidate Requirements Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie is required, preferably within a premium, high-volume restaurant or luxury hospitality environment.

Strong culinary fundamentals and experience working across kitchen operations. Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Good knowledge of food preparation techniques, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and willingness to learn. A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to professional development. Previous pre-opening experience is an advantage.
