Lynden Logistics is looking for an Operations Support Specialist to support our team in SeaTac, WA . As our Operations Support Specialist, you'll help oversee critical operational processes, support service centers across our network, and partner with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure freight moves efficiently, accurately, and according to plan.
Pay Range
$28–$34 per hour. Position Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. What you'll be doing: Analyze complex operational issues, identify practical solutions, and ensure decisions align with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Track and trace shipments, monitor delivery and PCS entry status, and maintain operational reporting.
Support service center leadership and external customers by providing timely communication, operational guidance, shipment updates, and resolution of service-related issues. Review incoming shipments and validate receipt status, receiving requirements, and planned handling. Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.
Maintain and develop the domestic and international agent network database. Review potential claims, resolve pre-claim issues, and escalate matters when appropriate. Evaluate process breakdowns, determine service center responsibility, and assign financial responsibility when necessary. Troubleshoot scanning platform issues and resolve advanced technical concerns.
Support special projects related to freight movement and other corporate initiatives. Provide administrative support for TSA air carrier security programs, including Security Threat Assessments, audits, record maintenance, and access management.

To succeed in this role, you'll need these skills: Strong transportation and logistics knowledge with the ability to understand, manage, and improve operational processes. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including strong proficiency with Excel. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with service center leadership, suppliers, customers, and senior-level business contacts.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the confidence to make sound business decisions. Ability to take initiative, work independently, and follow projects through to completion. Ability to calculate freight rates, dimensional weight, percentages, volume, and discounts.
And these qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three years of transportation and logistics experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) or TSA-recognized equivalent credential. Extra credit if you have: Retail logistics experience. Experience developing materials or presenting information to senior-level clients and stakeholders.
