• LONGVIEW, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $16.00 - $20.00Hourly, Your Opportunity for Impact: For over 40 years the Women's Center of East Texas has served survivors of domestic abuse, their witnessing children, and victims of sexual assault. We are looking for compassionate, service-oriented Caseworkers at our Shelter who have a desire to assist these clients. Would you like to join us? What you would be doing in this role: Provide clients with quality client-centered, trauma informed care. Work with other agency staff to coordinate services to assist clients in meeting personal goals. Maintain shelter upkeep including room preparation and sanitation. Answer hotline calls, which sometimes includes providing emergency transportation for the callers to access shelter services. Document the services provided.

Bachelors Degree in related field or combination of social services experience and education. Basic knowledge of Family Violence preferred Knowledge and experience of working in residential/shelter environment preferred Ability to work various shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends Active Listening Empathy and Compassion Knowledge of basic computer skills Self-motivated, self-confident, and compassionate High moral and ethical standards.
