Associate Director, Technology Advisory
Job description
Our client is a professional services firm & they are looking for an experienced, client-facing professional to join them as Director/Associate Director for Technology Advisory. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth and delivering consultative solutioning across Microsoft’s business applications and cloud ecosystem, primarily Microsoft Dynamics (ERP), Dynamics 365 Finance / Finance & Operations, Azure Cloud, Power Platform, and Power BI.
The successful candidate will work with mid-market and enterprise clients, leading engagements from discovery through deal closure and early delivery oversight, ensuring solutions are commercially viable and aligned to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Qualification Conduct structured client discovery sessions to understand business drivers, current-state platforms, pain points, budget readiness, and decision processes. Qualify opportunities and build a healthy sales pipeline aligned to strategic priorities.
- Proposal Development & Pipeline Management Position Microsoft solutions using business outcomes, industry use cases, and measurable ROI. Manage pipeline reporting, translating needs into Microsoft solution value propositions.
- Commercial Negotiation & Deal Structuring Lead pricing and commercial negotiations, balancing client expectations, profitability, and delivery feasibility. Drive closures with clearly defined scope, implementation approach, and mutual success criteria. Partner with delivery teams to ensure a structured transition from sales to project mobilisation.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence Track trends and competitor movements in Microsoft ERP, cloud, and analytics markets. Translate market insights into sales strategies and offering enhancements.
- New Solutions Development Support pilot engagements and proof-of-concept initiatives. Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding and transition. Refine service offerings based on client outcomes, feedback, and lessons learned.
Requirements
A recognised degree in Information Technology, Business, Accounting/Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in client-facing roles with a proven sales track record in Microsoft solutions (pipeline ownership, proposal development, and deal closure). Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Dataverse, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics ERP (especially Dynamics 365 Finance / F&O), Azure Cloud, and Power Platform ecosystem. Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical solutions into clear business outcomes. Excellent written communication skills (proposals, SOWs, commercials) with attention to detail and structured thinking.
Experience working within the Microsoft partner ecosystem and/or enterprise procurement and tender processes. Ability to operate consultatively in mid-market and enterprise environments.
